Anima X
A downloadable game for Windows
You, an amnesiac biologist, wake up on the atrium floor. Will the cloned woman help you escape the mystical apartment?
Anima X is based on multiple-choice and therefore easy to play for novices to the text adventure genre. In fact, it is so easy that even a bot making choices at random can finish the game in under a hundred seconds.
However, it may take you several hours to finish, so make yourself comfortable and ready for some trial and error. There are almost no decisions that will ultimately deny you a satisfying ending.
WARNING: This text adventure game features content that could trigger unwanted emotions or reactions in some players. In particular, it concerns themes of suicide, depression, murder, violence, abuse, incest, necrophilia, cannibalism, drug use, insanity, expletives, sexuality (and mathematics). If you are easily upset by any of these, you should not play this game alone or altogether.
Notes (Version 0.153)
- Currently, the game is supported by Windows computers only
- According to virustotal.com, 2 out of 73 anti-virus scanners falsely detect suspicious patterns in the main.exe; this is caused by the PyInstaller used to compile the game and extremely unfortunate; I have not found a solution yet, but you can simply flag the file as an exception for the Windows Defender
- Although my English is fairly solid for a non-native speaker, the dialogues still remain to be edited by a professional (especially those nasty commas)
- A detailed game guide PDF is provided with the download
- Thank you ever so much for playtesting!
